About Me

I’m Marc Walsh, a freelance event assistant and co-ordinator as well as working as a runner in TV. I’ve always really loved working on events, from the moment I started university I was getting involved with internal events that were being held on campus from the very start of uni.10313790_10203884807185668_547663843052392494_n

This lead to me working on their annual degree show. I started by leading on social media, managing the event’s Facebook and Twitter platforms. I then moved up the following year to managing the marketing for the show, and then finally in my third year I was the Event Producer of the 2 week long event showcasing the best student work at Ravensboure. I was in charge £60K budget as well as managing a team of 60 people. I graduated from Ravensbourne with a 2:1 in BA(Hons) Broadcast Operations and Production in July and have been working as a freelancer since then.

I10734279_10205213954493520_7531617626394904000_n have worked for a variety of companies, but my main focus has been in technology and broadcast, including Mozilla, Broadcast Now and the 3D Creative Summit. Where I have been a Production Assistant and Event Assistant on conferences and festivals. Completing tasks from organising travel and hotel accomadation to booking venues and party planning.

My specilities are mostly in logistics and production. I love organising and I love paperwork, filling out a risk assessment is a lot more fun then people make it out to be! I am to eventually move up into either Production Management roles in television or Event Producing.

You can check out more of what I can do on my Sumry page, which contains my full resume. }

Thanks for your time!

All the best,

Marc Walsh
